Video Games: A Childhood Journey

As a kid I first remember playing Paratroopers in the computer. It was magical.

This was in the year 1995, the era of floppy disks. As we saw the bullets being fired from the gun turret, we were excited as kids beyond imagination. Video games became an alternate world for us.

The next game that remind in our hearts was Jill of the Jungle.

Jill embarks on an adventure, eating apples to increase here health, finding hidden keys to open doors for magical worlds, destroying evil ants, honey bees, snakes, and many more to reach destination.
Those were the days when computers (at least that we knew of) were mostly DOS based. Game programming was a dream for us. We were excited when we pressed the rest button of the CPU, the screen glowed with the Energy star logo, the numbers rolled, and lo and behold DOS screen appeared.

Immediately without any further wastage of time, we used to invoke the DOS prompt and CD to the games directory , entering the game that we knew of...

                                                                                                                           ..TBC
